Before folks can start enjoying the comfort and convenience that the Galaxy buds bring about, they first need to connect the buds to the device. This is done through a process called pairing. A thing to note is that connecting Galaxy buds to a Samsung device is automatic. However, for any other phone be it an Android or iOS-powered device, users need to perform a manual pairing. Below we expose both the automatic and manual pairing processes.

Pairing Galaxy Buds to a Samsung phone automatically

  1. The first step is to fully charge your Galaxy buds
  2. Once your Galaxy buds are fully charged, open the charging case and place it in close proximity to the mobile device
  3. Soon after, the Galaxy buds will go into pairing mode and a pop-up will appear on your home screen prompting you to connect
  4. Click the ‘Connect’ button to start the pairing process.

Pairing Galaxy Buds to a Samsung Phone Manually

  1. Ensure that the Galaxy buds are fully charged up
  2. Ensure that the Galaxy buds aren’t connected to any other device nearby. If they are, you need to unpair the buds and proceed to turn off Bluetooth for that device
  3. Tap and hold the touchpads on both Galaxy buds to enter into pairing mode
  4. Open the ‘Settings’ on your device
  5. Under ‘Connections’, click the Bluetooth option
  6. On the list of available Bluetooth devices, click the ‘Galaxy Buds’ to start pairing.

Pairing Galaxy Buds to a non-Samsung Phone

  1. Ensure that the Galaxy buds are fully charged up
  2. Ensure that the Galaxy buds aren’t connected to any other device nearby. If they are, you need to unpair the buds and proceed to turn off Bluetooth for that device
  3. Open the charging case and allow a few seconds for the earbuds to automatically enter into pairing mode
  4. Pull the notification bar down and proceed to click the Bluetooth button
  5. Once the Bluetooth page loads, proceed to click the ‘Pair New Device’ button
  6. On the list of devices that emerges, click the ‘Galaxy Buds’ to connect and initiate the pairing process.

Pairing Galaxy Buds to an iOS Phone

  1. Go to the device settings tab and click the Bluetooth option
  2. Open the pairing screen and ensure that Bluetooth is turned on (if turned on, the Bluetooth toggle should be green)
  3. Open the Galaxy buds charging case and wait for a few seconds for the earbuds to enter into pairing mode. You should do this while the earbuds are in close proximity to the mobile device
  4. Once the earbuds are in pairing mode, a pop-up will appear on the phone home screen prompting you to start the pairing process.

An important thing to note is that for non-Samsung phones, the steps outlined above may slightly differ from one phone to another. However, the steps still give a clear picture of what users need to do in undertaking the pairing process.
