How to Connect Pixel Buds to Laptop
Most people connect their Google Pixel buds to their mobile devices. This isn’t surprising because most folks love to listen to music/media on their devices including streaming services. In some instances, the Pixel buds just aid folks in their multi-tasking activities as the buds help them to interact with their mobile phones without actually touching the phone.
Well, apart from mobile phones (see our guide on how to pair Pixel Buds), you can connect your buds to a computer. If you would like to connect the Pixel buds to your laptop but don’t know how then you simply need to check out the steps outlined below.
Steps to Connect your Pixel Buds to your Laptop
- Most probably, you have already connected your Pixel buds to your mobile phone. If you did, then the first thing that you need to do is to disable the connection between the buds and the mobile phone. This is necessitated by the fact that the Pixel buds can’t connect with two or more devices at the same time. Note that you don’t necessarily have to unpair the Pixel buds and the mobile phone. You can just turn off the Bluetooth connection on the mobile phone (don’t factory reset your Pixel Buds).
- Once there aren’t any connections between the Pixel buds and another device, you can proceed to establish the connection between the buds and the laptop. On this front, the first thing you need to do is to place your buds nearer to your computer and then open the Pixel buds charging case
- Proceed to long-press the pairing button on the back of the pairing case until the LED lights starts to blink. Once it blinks, it means the buds are now in pairing mode. Note that it takes at least 3 seconds for the buds to enter the pairing mode
- Go to your laptop and open the Bluetooth settings page. If you aren’t familiar with where to find the Bluetooth page, you can simply click the ‘Search’ button and type in Bluetooth
- On the Bluetooth page, click on the ‘Add Bluetooth or Other Devices’ tab
- Proceed to click on the Bluetooth device
- A new page pops up showing all available devices and previously paired devices. From the new devices shown, click on the Google Pixel Buds
- If the pairing does not start automatically, proceed to click the pair button to pair the laptop and Pixel buds
- Once the two devices pair, you will receive a notification informing you that the process was a success. At that point, you can now start interacting and commanding your laptop using your Pixel Buds!
Imagine you are on your work desk and you have some files to complete. However, you want to distract all noise by listening to your favourite music when perfuming your work. In such a scenario, you can leverage the power of the Pixel buds to listen to your laptop music while you do other stuff on the computer. There is no need of shifting from one tab to another when looking to choose new music to play as you can simply command the computer via the buds to pick the desired music you want to play. Such great convenience is brought to you by Google’s Pixel Buds.
